Does the sun enter into a new zodiac sign at 30 degrees?

I am confused since many pseudo biblical "zeitgeist" scholars say that the sun is christ and he enters into a new zodiac sign at 30 degree angle. My measurements however do not show this. 30 degree angle from what? Am I missing something?Does the sun enter into a new zodiac sign at 30 degrees?
There are 12 zodiac signs, and 360 degrees in a full circle. 360 degrees / 12 months = 30 degrees of sky per sign.

So I'm thinking they mean there is a new sign every 30 degrees of angle along the ecliptic.
This is the astronomy section not the astrology(nonsese) section!Does the sun enter into a new zodiac sign at 30 degrees?
I'm sure that the sun enters a new zodiac constellation at 30 degrees to SOMETHING. Why are you paying attention to anything that "zeitgest" scholars say? I wouldn't ask them for directions to the mall.
Each of the 12 zodiac 'signs' spans 30 degrees, although they no longer correspond to the constellations after which they are named. I assume this is what is meant.Does the sun enter into a new zodiac sign at 30 degrees?
No. The zodiac is on the ecliptic, and and the ecliptic is aligned with the sun. It is not at a 30 degree angle to the sun. The zodiac does have a range. Perhaps he means the total range of the ecliptic is approximately that amount.
