This is simple. As a Libra rising myself, I always wondered why I was this way, as Libra never points to outright assertiveness and/or competition. However, after stumbling upon an article about Descendants recently, my earlier inclinations were validated. Because Libra Rising is ascending, Aries is descending. The Descendant in one's chart points not only to the type of person one is attracted to, but how one presents themselves and acts in one-on-one situations.
