In the Chinese Zodiac, if the year share's your sign is that a bad thing? Am I supposed to wear a mouse?

I heard from a friend who works in chinatown, that there's more to the chinese zodiac than americans know, and I'm supposed to wear a mouse or something because I'm the year of the Ox. I don't get it. Help me out chinese people, or people familiar with the chinese astrology. In the Chinese Zodiac, if the year share's your sign is that a bad thing? Am I supposed to wear a mouse?
i don't believe you have to wear a mouse, just like a picture of a mouse or a toy mouse to carry with you or be in your possession, it's suppose to bring you luck. i think the mouse is the one animal that is very compatible with the OX. For me, I am a rabbit and I carry a little pig keychain because it's suppose to bring me luck. I am most compatible with the Pig.In the Chinese Zodiac, if the year share's your sign is that a bad thing? Am I supposed to wear a mouse?
There is a site on the internet where you can look up your Chinese Zodiac signs and predictions, and you'll find that in addition to being born in a certain year, you have other strange designations, like "Green Metal Chicken." They'll tell you what colors are lucky for you, and what area of your life needs work.

Sorry I don't have the web address; I saw this maybe last year.

If your Year matches the current year, it is a good thing. Say you're born in the Year of the Ox and it comes around again, that should be a banner year.

I know in my return year, I was able to travel around the globe to visit China, quite a marvelous trip!In the Chinese Zodiac, if the year share's your sign is that a bad thing? Am I supposed to wear a mouse?
