Try tapping F8 to get to the advanced set up options. Try safe mode to see if your able to get to your desktop there. If you do, initialize a system restore. If the system restore does not work, try running a check disk. If you are unable to get to safe mode, try last known good configuration. If that doesn't work you may have a corrupted file in Windows and you may need to reinstall the Operating System.

2) Hardrive issue.Help me get my computer working?
One of your RAM might not work. Remove the RAM and wipe out throughly and insert back.
Sounds like you have a corrupted system file. Try tapping f8 before the loading screen and choosing last known good configuration. If that doesn't work try a repair from your windows cd.Help me get my computer working?
Did you try running windows from your operating system CD (windows XP, etc)? If you at least are able to do that, you know it's a software problem, not a hardware one.
If you can run windows from CD, it might be easier to diagnose the problem.
Have you installed any new hardware?
is there a disk in the drive?
A virus may have attached itself to a windows boot file.
What cycle is it going through? can you get to log in screen?
how long have you let this cycle run?
repost....
If you have your original disk, you can boot from it, and reformat your Hard Drive, then reinstall windows. I would say a virus has destroyed your current sysyem. If you have a recovery console on your hard drive, you can get into it by hitting f8. I had the same problem once. In any case, you need to get into your set-up to move your cd drive to the first boot device, or get into your recovery console. Good Luck!
Try restoring your computer...
To get a better idea of the problem:
Hit F8 prior to the logo and select "Dont automatically restart"
You should now see a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) instead of it restarting. These are very cryptic...but can lead to a general idea. Make detailed notes and add them to your question.
If you do not get a BSOD, you know your windows installation is corrupt.
that's stupid
while turning on your computer, keep pressing the "f8" key rapidly until the windows advanced options menue appears, press the down arrow to highlight where it says "last good known configuration" and press "enter" this will now restart your computer to the last good known configuartion where it last loaded sucessfully, this should allow you to enter back into windows and check for any viruses or spyware. hope it helps.
