Im leaning way to far forward on my night train. I want to change my stock risers for some pullbacks i want to keep them at least six inches and i dont want to change any wires or cables. Just looking for a quick solution until i can get a whole new bar setup. I looked all through jp cycles and not sure a good fit.Risers for a 09 Harley night train?
If the stock risers are 6 in tall, then installing another 6in tall riser with some pull back shouldn't be a problem. There should be plenty of slack to accommodate a couple of inches of pull back.
If you plan on changing the risers only, a 3 in. rise should be possible with out changing any wires or cables, although you might have to re-route some depending on the way they are installed on the bike. I can usually find enough slack to mount even a 5 or 6 in rise.
As far as fit goes, if the spacing between the risers is still the standard 3 1/2 in spread, then any riser will work. I prefer individual risers rather than one piece, so spacing isn't usually a concern to me. Handle bar size is a factor, since many of the new handle bars are of larger diameter than the standard 1in of the older bikes. If you have 1 1/4 in bars, you will have to install risers with 1 1/4in clamps.Risers for a 09 Harley night train?
Have the same set up on my softail, 6 in. risers with drag bars. Got some 6.5 in risers with an in. pull back, makes a little difference, not huge but I can feel it and I'm 6 ft. tall - took them off cuz I didnt like the feel. Or you can find some drag bars with a longer pull back, I think Harley stock is 3.5 pull back, you might be able to find some 5 in. pull backs.
